Trimming the Tree

I always get really excited about Christmas...on Thanksgiving! My first married Thanksgiving, we stayed in Birmingham away from my family. My sweet Robby, in an effort to make a smooth transition, woke me up the day after Thanksgiving and took me to buy our first Christmas tree. The tradition started, and from that year on, every Friday after Thanksgiving, we have decorated our house for Christmas. This year was no exception...only we ran out of lights for the tree. It took me a week to get back out to buy replacement lights and another few days to actually put them up. So, fast forward to last Saturday night...my sweet friend, Madeline was in labor and we were keeping her son, Auburn was whooping up on South Carolina in the SEC Championship game (WDE, by the way), so, Robby and I decided to enlist some help in decorating the tree. Sweet Benjamin and Maggie (and Robby) did a fabulous job of hanging ornaments while I documented the event! They had a ball and our tree looks great as a result!






It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house...finally!
